Research from 181 countries: The saltier you eat, the longer your life?

Study finds correlation between salt intake and longer life. Consuming extra 2.5g salt daily increases life expectancy by 2.6 years at birth and 0.3 years at age 60.

However, study's conclusion is not recognized by medical community and should not be used as nutritional guide. High-salt diet contributes to higher mortality rates and can cause health issues.
